Everyone Should Travel Solo At Least Once

What is Solo Travel? 

Taking a flight or train by yourself to visit family or friends is not solo travel. Of course, you’re traveling alone, but if someone is waiting for you, then it’s not solo travel.



Solo travel means you’re going somewhere else alone to explore a place. It is an incredible experience and every backpacker should experience at least once in their lifetime.


I agree, traveling with  someone can be a great experience too, but you shouldn’t dismiss the idea of travel just because you have no one to go with. Nowadays, More and more people are choosing to travel on their own. 


Why Travel SOLO?


Solo travel represents freedom and independence. There is no better way to get to know who you are.



⦁    One reason why people are traveling solo : they’re not in a relationship.

⦁    Solo travelers couldn’t find anyone available to go on a trip . The world is just too big to have to wait around for someone to go with you every time you want to go somewhere.

⦁    A good chance to get over that fear of getting lonely and safety concerns, it could be a life changing adventure.

⦁    Travel to learn something new or to pursue a hobby or interest. Also you will learn a lot about yourself too.

⦁    Just want to spent some time with yourself or want to go somewhere you wanted to go.



Advantages: Reasons You Should Travel Solo


Solo travelers praise many advantages of journeying alone because you are making all the decisions and choices and that gives you a sense of freedom.

Some of the benefits are mentioned below:

1.    You can plan YOUR perfect trip, You can go where you want, when you want.

2.    You can change plans on a dime. It’s easier to arrange things last minute.

3.    Many great opportunities to interact with the locals on a personal level can be found. Making new friends is actually easier.

4.    Self discovery: find your own rhythm.

5.    You have complete financial control. Your time and budget are your own!

6.    You’ll become more creative and unearth hidden skills. It’ll expand your mind.

7.     You could start learning another language and new things about places and culture.

8.     You'll have a greater awareness of your surroundings and improve your sense of direction.

9.    You’ll have to face your weaknesses and It’ll makes you brave. You’ll realize your inner strength and gain a new sense of confidence.

10.    Grow - It will increase your knowledge, compassion, experience, memories, culture, passion, expression, confidence etc. Return to your family and friends an enriched person.

11.     You will be far more flexible than non-solo travelers and will learn how to make things happen. It pushes you to your limits.

12.    It forces you to hustle-. I can actually run really fast anywhere carrying anything (heavy suitcase and backpack)if need be!

13.    You’ll learn the art of negotiation, and develop an eye for spotting killer deals.

14.    You’ll become a walker, also It can improve your mental health too.

15.     You’ll never be satisfied back home working a “normal” job.



Disadvantages Of Traveling Alone:


1.    There's no one to watch your luggage while you go buy train tickets or going to the toilet.

2.    You have to carry all your luggage yourself.

3.    It's more expensive, as there is no one to share costs with. You'll need to budget a little bit more.

4.    You may experience moments of loneliness.

5.    It can be little risky  to travel alone, particularly as a female you may get approached by some weird people during travel.



Solo travel, couple travel, and travel with family or friends  all have their pros and cons and it can be tough to know which will suit you best.

But Everyone Should Travel Solo At Least Once....
