Want to explore places but you don't have a company.




Planning to explore a new place on your own? Well, you are not alone. Nowadays, more and more people are heading towards solo travel. Map out your plans ahead of time to avoid unnecessary headaches later on.


There are a few steps involved in planning your solo travel :


1. Choose a destination for your solo trip:  There are two measures how you can choose the destination:

A. Maybe you have a dream destination: In that case, Save up for your trip before you go, make a budget accordingly.
 
OR

B. You just want to go somewhere to take a break or spent a amount of time with yourself but with limited budget: In that case search places for a budget trip.
 

2. Plan your complete journey: Next step is to do research on your destination. What places you gonna visit or any adventure sports/activities are famous about that place that you wanna try. Book tickets both way going and return, Once you have planned the journey.


3. Buy travel insurance: Think you don’t need it? Think again.

4. Pack light: Make sure you pack light so that you can carry your luggage comfortably all by yourself. Pack your clothes,  depending on the climate of your destination. And yes! Don't forget to pack travel medical kit.

5. ID Proofs: Before leaving for your trip make copies of all important documents or ID cards.

6. Don't carry to much Cash: In case of theft, it will be tough to manage. Try to keep your budget amount divided into cash and card both.

7. Confirm and Reach Early: Always confirm that your flight or train is on schedule before leaving and  try to reach at least an hour before to avoid hustle.

8. Safety:  Try to arrive at your destination during the day to avoid being alone at night.

9. Book your accommodation:  It is advisable to book hotel along with your travel booking to avoid last minute trouble. Save money by booking solo-friendly accommodation, A home stay, hostel or B&B that is particularly good for solo travelers.

10. Be patient: Take sometime or a day to relax after reaching, watch the city function, and settle in. Make sure to carry your hotel or lodge's business card with you before leaving to explore the place.

11. Take a tour: There are tourist buses or tour plans available, you just need to search online or ask locals for more clarity. If you want to explore by your own, then plan your transportation by yourself, taking local transit is a best option to explore.



12. Stay safe:  Ask locals which areas are safe and which should be avoided. Also Make sure not to tell strangers that you’re traveling alone or where you are staying unless necessary.

13. Walk! There is no better way to get to know a city and its culture than walking. It slows you down so that you can understand how the city is designed.

14. Comfortable clothes and no jewellery:  Always try to wear comfortable clothes for long travel days. Don’t flash jewellery or expensive cameras, try to avoid unwanted attention.

15. Travel Alone But Not Lonely: Always keep your family and friends updated about your whereabouts.

Keep in mind all these important points to make your solo travel comfortable and memorable without any hiccups.
